How it Get Started
It all began about eighteen years ago, when Walter and his wife wanted to
create an environment where their three children could have fun, get exercise, and spend quality time with
Mom and Dad.

The Meeks solicited the help of several pool companies who all appeared to
have nice pools; however, Walter quickly realized that there were large deficiencies in the areas of
honesty, integrity, affordability, and customer service.
History
More alarming, however, were the noticeable deficiencies in the actual engineering of the pool
which included a lack of proper knowledge of fluid mechanics and structural reinforcements.
Armed with his knowledge, he decided to build his own pool.
His pool was so attractive, in fact, that several of his friends had asked him to build their
pools as well. By the end of the year, he had fallen in love with working outdoors and felt he
had found the perfect avenue for his academic and professional training, so he founded Pool
Quest.
Since the beginning, Pool Quest has continued to grow, yet Walter has held onto the same
principals of knowledge, honesty, integrity, affordability, and customer service upon which the
company has been built. Pool Quest has maintained an unblemished record with the Better Business
Bureau.
Walter understands the importance of family and do everything possible to treat your
family as his own. The Meeks have made their home in your community and even given back to the community

Our pool journey started right before Covid hit in 2020. Kevin Strong designed the perfect pool for us at the time. But then with the world in such uncertainty, we decided to wait. Fat forward to 2022. We went in again to see Kevin. Talked about the pool and tweaked the design. Again, we decided to wait. When 2023 came around, we pulled the bandaid off. Kevin was so gracious when we asked for a completely different design. Now we were ready. From Kevin, Randy, Geoff, Walter, Ethan, Gina, Kim and ALL of the crews who had a part in building our pool, we will be forever grateful we chose Pool Quest. It is exactly what we wanted. A timeless classic that will give all of our family many years of enjoyment. I wouldn’t change a thing. Easiest company and best people we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. From the moment we met James (Pool-Quest designer) we felt we were in great hands. He introduced and educated us on Pool-Quest, how the company, their process, the number of pools the built (limited to focus on quality, craftsmanship and accurate scheduling). From there is was on to design.
This was our first pool so we had a lot of questions. With each step of the design James educated us on each component, design options and costs. We had a few 3D rendering and video meetings that incorporated our home, yard and surrounding area. Intentionally incorporated to help us see our vision.
Once we started (from dig to swimming) we were advised by the Pool-Quest team daily. The process was flawless. Yes we had a few days of delay, but that was due to extreme heat. Pool-Quest makes sure their builders are not working in conditions that are not safe.
Their entire project management team are honest, helpful and offered suggestion during the build that furthered our vision.
When we were quoted 12-14 weeks our friends thought we were nuts. From permitting, dig, build, re-routing all irrigation, added electrical, pergola and the outdoor kitchen we were on target! Everyone has big delays, re-work and problems. Not us. From HOA to City permitting and our first swim they met the mark.
I would highly recommend Pool-Quest to anyone who is looking for a high-quality well designed and managed experience.

Handshakes in the business world are unfortunately a thing of the past but not with Pool-Quest. If they shake on it, consider it done. The level of detail with our project couldn’t be greater. Down to the last stone in place, plants being planted in just the right place, etc. Ethan Meek creates a 3D graphical video of what you are wanting to build and if you see in in the video you will see it in your project. Completely Blown Away! I'm a very particular person with a strong desire for things to be done the right way- the FIRST time. that's exactly what I got from these guys! I needed to get a mock design put together so I could make my decisions about the layout. After all, a pool is a semi-permanent purchase. I did my usual shopping around with other companies to see who could offer the best work. It became apparent which company was more suited for the kind of job I wanted to be done. The mock-up was incredible! It had my house in the design, and my backyard was spot on with my current setup. A couple of other companies did a good job getting us a design sketched up, but it was placed on a generic template of a backyard. Pool Quest will definitely continue to get my recommendations. The project was ahead of schedule and Kim was a rock star orchestrating this behind the scenes. It took five weeks since they started to complete and I was always kept informed of what was next and when. The owner Walter and son Ethan were over a couple of times making sure things were right at excavation and concrete pouring. There were two items that caught my attention during the project and they were addressed quickly. I will absolutely recommend pool quest for your pool project.

I hired Pool-Quest to build my pool and it is the most beautiful custom pool I have ever seen. Walter and Ethan inspected my yard and proposed the perfect size pool for the space. They recommended the pebble as an upgrade because of all of the trees in my yard. Walter was the only contractor to suggest the pebble. Now that I have it, I cannot imagine having anything less. Susie and Adriana kept me informed of each step of the construction and Rudy was always onsite very early in the morning to meet with the specific crew for the day. I am so happy I went with Pool-Quest.

My wife and I spent the better part of a year researching who we were going to go under contract with to build our pool. We selected Pool Quest because we felt they were the right-sized business and that we would receive timely responses and timely work. We had heard nothing but horror stories from friends and family regarding their pool projects and the companies they selected. The biggest difference in my mind between, the nightmare stories, was the size of the pool company. This may not be the biggest pool company in North Texas but they quoted us 16 weeks and we filled our pool during the 16th week. Not only was construction on time but the price was another deciding factor in choosing this company. We couldn't be happier with the pool, the experience working with Pool Quest, and working with the people at Pool Quest. Nick did a great job designing and Randy was a pleasure to work with on almost a daily basis during the project. I would highly recommend this company for your pool project.

We chose Pool Quest for our backyard renovations, including gutting a 20+ year old pool, landscaping, drainage, re-pouring all new concrete, and new equipment. Overall, they were top-notch to deal with. Ethan and Walter came out from Ft. Worth to Dallas to evaluate our situation, had a professional design ready in 2 weeks, and sent us a YouTube video of the design.
They were professional, and Randy (on-site) was regularly at our house and stayed in constant communication with us. The job took longer than expected due to weather (tornadoes, then cold, then rain), but that's to be expected in Texas in the Fall/Winter.
Highly recommend Pool-Quest if you want a quality job completed without feeling like you're being sold to non-stop.

Pool quest has been responsive and taken care of us. Kevin designed our pool, we could not have picked a better person to help us with the design. He listened and brought our dreams to life.Derek was the our Project lead, he keep us informed every step of the way and resolved every issue we had. Both Kevin and Derek have gone above and beyond to ensure we would be happy with every thing. We had two small problems with the pool after it was completed and Pool Quest (Derek) came out without delay and fixed the issues.

We used Pool Quest for our 2022 build. I had initially set up appointments with 3 reputable companies. My initial appointment with Pool Quest designer Kevin S. was informative and extremely professional. I can’t say the same about the other companies I met with. We later met with Kevin in the design studio and were very impressed with the design he came up with as well as the presentation. This was a huge help in being able to visualize the project and see the different options available.
We decided to then move forward with Pool Quest for an in-ground pool, stone fireplace, stamped concrete patio extension, and pergola. At this time our project manager was Jeff Walsh. He has been amazing from start to finish! We were always kept informed step by step the entire way. Our construction site was managed expertly and always left tidy at the end of the day. Even when the project was completed and the cold weather moved in, Jeff reached out to make sure we had everything winterized properly to avoid any damage. Being new pool owners, this type of customer service is invaluable. If we move and need another pool project, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Pool Quest again.

Every single person we interacted with, from Nicholas in sales, to Kim and Gina in the office; Randy heading up the project and the contractors on the ground doing the work - every single person was exceptional. First and foremost, the quality of the work was outstanding. The team at Pool Quest clearly takes pride in their craft and made sure that every detail was perfect. The pool itself is beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. The materials used were top-notch and I can tell that this pool will last for years to come.
The customer service was also excellent. From my first interaction with Kevin Strong to the final walkthrough with the project manager, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. They were always available to answer my questions, address any concerns, and make sure that I was happy with the progress of the project.

Once we agreed on the design and signed the contract we began the process and I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went, and appreciated all of the communication between us, the office and Jeff. Everyone with Pool Quest who had hands on building our backyard oasis were professional, and always available for questions. This was our 2nd pool build and the experience was 100 times better than we had with the 1st builder. The process from the design stage, construction, and to the very end was extremely professional, pleasant, and built as promised. There were some hiccups along the way which is common when it comes to construction, but they were on point throughout it all. Even the owner came to evaluate the construction stages and final product. We will definitely hire them again if we ever move to another house that doesn't have a pool. I highly recommend their service.
